I’m not saying there’s a beautiful silver TK R33 GTR in New York and a drop dead gorgeous TK R34 GTR in Florida, but I may well be saying that.

The R33 GTR is kind of growning on me... I don’t like so much how they drive, but I might just get one to use as a daily driver. They are very cheap here (10k$ gets you a nice one)

I could google it, but let’s have you despense the knowledge. What is mine’s and why is it a big deal?

Well ummmmm... I’ll have one please.

Holy
shit.
Australia is full of Skylines, but I’ve never seen a TK. The closest I’ve gotten is a TK spoiler on a 300ZX.

I’ve always been critical of the R33...
... But on this occasion, I’ll let this beauty slide.

Nice, I really, really like the Mine’s tuning mentality! I see other folks in here are not really feeling the 33s that much? To me, the three generations of Skyline GT-Rs are all unique and awesome in their own ways.
1. The R32: I look at this as something similar to the Evo III if you’re a mitsu guy. More analog, light, fast. You basically get the same motor/drivetrain but in a smaller/lighter package.
2. The R33: Skyline nerds will undoubtedly talk about the subtle differences, the crank snout, brakes, blah blah blah. For all intents and purposes it’s basically a more polished, heavier, and better looking (IMO) car.
3. The R34: Expensive... Damned expensive even to this day and I don’t really know if they’ll come down much, all the techno-toys, etc. etc. Still basically the same engine but with the Getrag 6spd and other upgrades. Certainly the Zenith of the breed but it does lose out a bit because of weight and all that techy stuff to me.
I’d love to have all three, but I think the 33 would probably make the best daily, also.... Nismo 400R :D Anyway, cool post.

R33 is my favorite of the Skylines.

Hnnng...
I have an internal debate raging within me whether I’ll get an R32 or R33 GT-R in a few years. I’m a little R32 biased but I would really like to build an R33 into something that would have fit in with the Mid Night Club.

R33. The R32 is already too popular IMHO

Yeah I know it is...buuut I’ve wanted one since I was 13. I used to write down all the modifications I would do to one in a notebook instead of taking notes lol if I get an R32 I’m probably going to modify it just like Justin Fox’s.

So get a 32!
